The customer, a world-leading wealth management company, wanted to reposition its credit card reward system. Most of the redemption of rewards occurred via a call center. The customer wanted to minimize expensive call center redemptions and grow the number of self-service redemptions that occurred over the Internet. Additionally, the rewards system required updating to reflect more efficient state-of-the-art account management and reward redemption features.

This guaranteed 99.99% availability. Scalability, reliability, security, maintainability, and performance were also important criteria’s. Additionally, the project had a very tight business-driven deadline. The product had to be delivered within a few months with the expected customer’s world class quality.

Charter Global administered the project implementation phase using an agile development methodology. Tasks were prioritized to minimize inter-dependencies and short iterative development cycles were organized. The experienced Charter Global software engineers were able to assemble the technology solution using J2EE, Hibernate, Java Server Faces, JBoss, Ant/Cruise control, Eclipse, Web Services, Message-Queues and other enterprise-level J2EE technologies.
