The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) is the principal public transport operator in the Atlanta metropolitan area. It operates a network of bus routes linked to a rapid transit system consisting of 48 miles of rail track with 38 train stations.
MARTA’s current app was created on different mobile platforms and was becoming a challenge to code. In addition, multiple screens had proven difficult and challenging for the user to navigate.
The user experience increased significantly with an improved UI that shared real-time bus and train availability, live directions, and a trip planner, all with a minimal amount of screens.
Charter Global created an app on a hybrid technology platform so coding can easily occur across mobile platforms. It’s also more scalable and adaptable for better performance during high-volume use.
